To produce higher activities, the structures of the oxime O-ethers and the reportedly highly active 2-(4-phenoxyphenoxy)ethyl carbamates were hybridized to produce (4-phenoxyphenoxy)- and (4-benzylphenoxy)acetaldehyde oxime O-ethers and related compounds The activity of some of these substances against C. pipiens were comparable to the 90-100% inhibition of metamorphosis by methoprene??[40596-69-8], the most highly active of the juvenile hormone compounds
