Different solvations of the ions MeOH2 + .qMeOH and MeO-.p-MeOH are postulated. Important divergences appear rapidly between the 2 acidity functions in each of 2 media (Hm = pKa + log c + f[log(MeOH)] and Jm = pKa + log [A-]/[AH]).
